Contest
South Central IMAC 3rd Annual Competition and Worlds Qualifier

October 28 - 29, 2017

This will be the 3rd annual Shreveport Clubs IMAC CHALLENGE

there will be 3 events:

1. IMAC Competition for all 5 classes
BASIC
SPORTSMAN
INTERMEDIATE
ADVANCED
UNLIMITED

2. SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

3. SOUTH CENTRAL REGION WORLDS QUALIFIER

The Regional Championships will also serve as the IMAC Worlds qualifying event for the South Central Region. Two contests will be scored separately at this event.
The first contest will be for the Regional Championships with all pilots included in the standings and one unknown flown on Sunday morning.
The second scored contest will only include the top 5 pilots in IRPS South Central Regional Point standings PRIOR to the regionals. They will be competing for a spot on the World team in Sportsman, Intermediate, Advanced, and Unlimited. These 5 pilots in each class will fly one additional Unknown sequence on Saturday near the end of the day. This contest format is being adopted from the NC 2013 Zonal World Team selection process so that pilots competing for the World spot will be able to drop their low unknown (of the two flown). The organizers of the "World's event do not want a single mechanical failure in the unknown to cost a pilot a spot on the World team.

We are planning on "TWO FLIGHT LINES" for this event.

Tentative SCHEDULE
Saturday
7:00am Registration Opens
8:15am Pilots Meeting
8:30am
3 rounds of Known Sequences (all pilots)
1 round of Unknown Sequences (only for 5 World Qualifier competitors in each class)

Sunday
8:15am am Pilots Meeting
8:30am Flying starts
1 round of Unknown Sequences (all pilots)
1 round of Known Sequences (all pilots)

Tell all your friends.

We will end the season with a bang.

Please try to be there by Friday so we can begin preparations to begin early Saturday morning.

Pilot registration begins Friday after noon and we plan to have it completed by 8:00 am Saturday morning on October 28th, 2017.

Entry fee = $35.00

Non-IMAC = $45.00

First Contest Basic pilots fly for free.

preparations for the contest

Just finished making the 1st place trophies for the contest.

Well, sort of.

Still need to do a little more work on them, and I need to order the metal plates for the front of the trophy base.

Just a little teaser....

Day 1 is complete

What a day today!

We got there, and temps were in 36 degrees Fahrenheit Range.

By noon, temps were in upper 40's and then by 2 pm, we were in low 50's

Very pleasant day.

Want to thank everyone who helped and whom came to help. Huge thanks to everyone.

We were able to complete 3 known rounds, using two flight lines.
and then we were able to perform the Worlds Qualifier Unknown.

Tomorrow we will perform the IMAC standard Unknown, which will have a higher K value than the unknown from today.

What a day!! More pictures to come soon.
