How do you like this plane with the 120 in the nose now that you've had it a while?

Well I have not had it a while yet This was the maiden day but I did put 5 flights on the plane and it plyes awsome. I love the DA-120 and it is a great combination. Light and floats like a leaf.

Here is the video of Randy Browns Yak with the DA120. Plane floats better than a foamy and has more than enough power!

Thanks for the video Blake. We are going to have a 29x10 prop next week rather than the 28x10. Should even get better on the pull out with 29x10 on the DA 120. The 28x10 just is not enough prop. Great flying and thanks for the kind words.

No problem Brown Brown. I wish Android would not save the video in an apple form otherwise i would have edited the video. Anyone building this plane for a 3D machine should really consider this setup. Perfect plane for the engine.

Awesome Randy!!!! I knew that this was going to turn out to be a great combination. Pull out looks fantastic! Can't wait to fly it.

Hello Bill or anyone else

Im building my second 40% BH YAK55M.
The first one I had was from the first batch sn 06.
Can anyone tell me if the canister compartment is larger now?
Because in the new fuselage even MTW TD115K seems to fit.
In the first oen i had to go with TD110 wich is longer and smaller diameter.

I think what you are seeing is the motor box has been extended forward, requiring less spacers to get the engine forward.

This is correct, the motor box has been extended and the stand off requirements have been reduced. Many times throughout production, minor changes are made to improve the quality of each airplane ARF kit. Most of the time these small changes will go unnoticed.... but they are there.

OK Bill

But is the canister compartment wider or the same as before?

I think so Bones. Look at all your lovely sponsors, congratulations mate. I only noticed that you are getting the 40% BH yak. You'll have to shoot me some pics of your set up and a flight report when you have her all finished off. I was thinking of a compy as my first 40%er; however, I think I would much prefer one of these.

My first attempt at playing around with CF on the dead bull turned out awesome! It's now, well, as strong as a yak. Lol lame pun.
