Thanks guys for letting me in. First plane... Cox PT19 trainer. Probably 1964 or 65. Didn't have anybody with any experience to coach me. Results weren't too good. Wound up wearing the piston on a chain around my neck. Years later I had my own money and I got back into it with a fever. I started with gliders. Using a highstart or slope gliding at local reservoirs. Finally moved to glow engines starting with 1/2 A w/ tee dee .049. Then I went nuts. Swamp buggies, cars and finally with a kit called the Hammer w/ Enya 029 and a lot of planes in between. Later I got a prefab caller the Arrow and fitted it with an OS .40. Loved it. If you fly 'em, you crash 'em. If you don't like bench time, this hobby is not for you

Welcome. You sound like me. I had one of those plastic CL planes with the .049 Cox in the mid 60s. Last time I flew it it flew straight up and nose dived straight back down and jammed the spinner so hard I could no longer turn the prop. Life went on. Always loved aviation. I did some hanggliding in the late 70s and did not get into RC until 2007 starting with RC helicopters which led to RC planes. Still having fun. You are right. If you don't like working on them this is not for you.

Thanks

Thank you guys for the welcome. Cut to the chase.... I need a carb for a Super Tigre S3000. I've seen where the OS 7D was the go to. Seems like everyone did that. New/old stock looks like dried up some time in 2016. So, does someone have one they have been holding back or, is there another option? A newer OS or a Perry?
