New 100cc Twin engine

Let me start with this, I know it isn't a Da but it SURE looks like a DA. I am new to the above 30% ranks and I needed a 100cc twin engine. Well after looking at the HH engines I found this engine. It is being sold by precision hobby products in Washington. The guy that owns the company is Rick Campbell. I have one of these engines coming. I'll keep you posted as to how I come out of this experience. I hope I spent my $915.00 well. I am attaching the picture of this engine from the website. The engine includes the ignition(of course) and mufflers for the above price shipped with a 1 year warranty through PHP himself as Rick is the warranting agent for these engine with a full stock of parts.

Re: New 100cc Twin engine

I have received my engine and It actually looks pretty good, All except the mufflers. I can make the mufflers work but I have done some research and DA100 mufflers will work. I will run the stock mufflers untill I can procure some da stock mufflers. Fit and finish on the engine looks good. Ignition has the cool beeper to tell you that the ignition is on.

Why would you spend $915.00 on a chance when you can get the real thing with the best service on the planet for $1150.00?

Maybe because when you include the stock mufflers for the DA and shipping he saved around 400.00, that's 4 servos...just sayin'

Bolt pattern is same. Mufflers are same pattern as DA 100
Rick is a friend of mine as is Paul whom has bolted DA Mufflers on this engine.

To those defending my choice of this engine: THANK YOU! To the rest, Please hold off judgement until I can see how this engine performs. Like Boulder said I DID save 400 dollars over a DA100 which is a ton to me. dqman40rock, how do the engine's you have seen run? I have read about the ignition causing RF noise has this happened on the PHP version's? P.S. I am also rceagle1a on FG.

I am glad to see that people are trying different engines, DA is not the only thing on the planet, I am looking foward to hearing how it runs to!! I bought a Fox 100cc before and I was impressed!
