I have not taped the hinges yet..I think it is a nice to have vs. must have...

It is confirmed that this thing is extremely tough on the cameraman!!

This thing gets away quick....No lawn dart today..

I did the maiden and noticed some "different sounds" at full throttle...One of the guys had slick prop balancer so we gave it a go and balanced the prop. The second flight still had some of the same sounds but noticeably less violent.

Figured this is the fastest plane I have now, so it needs to Red Bulls and made it mine.

I won't tell. I got the blue version yesterday. I will start on it soon but it is winter in Indiana so I am not sure when I will get to fly it.

Spray some clear Krylon on the back side of light side, it is easier and does not change the shape (well, technically it does, but not really).

I got to fly the new Outlaw today. It weighs in at 60 ounces with a 3700mah battery. Only 8 ounces more than my glow version. The blue / yellow scheme is very visible even with overcast skies. I noticed that it has more torque effect than the glow version. Both during launch and throttle changes. It seems to land a little faster but that is to be expected. I suppose I will have to keep it.

I put the first flights on mine yesterday and I need a little advice. I noticed that the plane felt extremely touchy even on low rates. I set up low/medium /high rates. I took off on medium rates and switched to low rates for the rest of the flight because the plane felt so loose. It was windy and only needed a few clicks of aileron and elevator to get it flying straight.

The question that I have are first, is this plane just that sensitive to control inputs. I have at least 65% expo on every surface. Second is, when are you all switching to high rates?
This is the first elevon plane that I have flown. Any advice to help on my next flights?

I don't own one but I had the pleasure of flying one recently. The one I flew had 85% expo and still felt loose. I'm thinking it's just the way the airframe flys. Still a ton of fun even though it has a different feel in the air. I used the high rates only to do some fast rolls and snaps. High rates also feel pretty good in slow flight.
