Can't see why not, I used the Robart because I happen to have one laying around, on my new Phoenix 60cc Spit I'm going to try the Jetronics valve, have one on my CARF P-47 and it works like a champ

Maiden report:
2 flights today, it's awesome! Took off in about 50 feet with half flaps, easy to fly with all that wing. Landed the first time on half flap, little hot but easy, 2nd landing on full flaps, slows to a crawl, had to gas it on final to keep from dumping it. High speed strafing passes are great, especially with the radial roaring away. I put a bit of weight in the tail after the 1st flight, needs about 4-6 ounces with the radial to get it just right, but better than tail heavy of course!

Ali, no issues with the retracts on take off, I guess the Robart valve is good, and I have restrictors in it. Gear is stout, I slammed it pretty hard the 2nd landing and no damage I want to thank Ali and Hangar-9 for producing a warbird that looks cool and flies like it's on rails! Can't wait to get it out again!

Great news on your maiden. Which exhaust are you using? Also did you add baffles any overheating problems? Thanks

Congratulations!.
Very glad that the maiden went well. What prop on the FG90?
Can you post a picture of your baffle arrangement, please?

Dave.

Ali had three of the KI-43s at the Muncie warbird flyin over Labor day weekend. One was e-powered, one had a DLE-61 and one had the Saito radial. Ali was letting any one fly them that wanted to and I flew the DLE and Saito powered ones. Both flew great and the Saito had a little more power. I've always said the P-47 is the best flying warbird, but this one is as good or better. You can do aerobatics with it just like an Extra. It flies slow with no tip stall tendencies. This would make a great first warbird for anyone who wants to get into warbirds.

Dave, my engine is the 84 with the Ray English mods, I run a Xoar 24X12 on it, turns 6100. Here are the baffles, made from 1/8" lite ply, Adrian at CH Ignitions makes a set, they're a little small so I made my own. I'll get around to painting them here soon. I also cut out the oval area on top so #1 would get air.

3 more flights today, still breaking in the motor, but the plane is awesome! One of the easiest planes I have to fly, wheel landings are great, even with me driving itI have yet to find anything I don't like about it, looks like the real thing in flight, did a slow pass with half flaps, it just plugs along, doesn't try to hit the ground, which is always a good thing!

You're getting me excited.

I have one wing just about done.

Retracts look pretty robust, nice fittings and air line.

Is anyone able to provide me the dimensions of the box it was shipped in ?

I ordered mine from Horizon and the airframe got rejected by the shipper, returned to horizon. The retracts came fine but now I have a set of retracts, no plane and of course it's the other parties problem!

It's an international order, but it's not like Horizon don't ship planes internationally, this isn't my first

61" x 24 x 24

That's the inner box the actual plane was in, it was in another shipping box that probably adds an inch to each dimension

It's a pretty good size box
