At 90" and 18 lbs I agree the 40 would probably just fly it around.

FGNewbi, the picture you took of the firewall showed the center of off-set. Can you provide the dimensions of the off-set? Greatly appreciated.

hi, the measurements for the motor mount are detailed in the manual for the 35RA, which is on line at HH. I mounted the engine over the weekend the holes were dead on. you need to create a 0,0 vertex which you can do by putting a piece of cardboard over the firewall circle and then intersecting the vertical and horizontal lines. from there you can make the measurements. let me know if you have specific questions on the mount. I have the throttle set up also. with the 35RA the firewall is all the way back. hope this helps....

Hi FGNewbi, I was referring to the engine off-set on the fire wall. This will help me as I look at how my DLE 30 may or may not fit in the cowl. Thx.

the dle 30 mount is the same as the 35RA with the exception that the bottom spacing is 70mm not 80. so yes, it will fit. the problem we had with the 30 was the muffler. because it is side exhaust it would have required opening up the side of the cowl. that gave the owner an excuse to buy a 35RA.

a couple of things about the 35 that are nice changes...1, it comes with an NGK CM 6, and 2, the throttle arm is threaded for 2/56.

stand off length is whatever comes with the 35RA. the engine with the stock standoffs is glued to the rear of the engine box.
