Right - I have taken a hideous amount of time to get back on this but things have been pretty busy. It's not taken long to stick together but I've had a fair bit going on. Still a few jobs to finish up but it's getting pretty close. I'm leaving on a work trip tomorrow and won't be back until next Tuesday but hopefully I'll get out with it next week.

3W110CS on KS 1060 pipes, lightweight baffles and the rudder servo as per the pictures leaves me a fraction tail heavy. It's pretty spot on with one RX lipo on the motor dome and one on the wingtube (or both just a little ahead of the tube). I'm just going to set the CG as I have it on my 3.1 version and tweak from there.

Here are a few pics

It's just silver carbon plate. I got it from CST composites. It's good stuff.

Finally got out and flew the 2.6. The first time out with it, I had the batteries on the tray on the wing tube (you can see them in the pics). I was pretty tail heavy, so much so from straight and level, no trim it would climb and from inverted it would climb, lol. I didn't have any weight with me so just flew a few flights like this on the day which was fun for 3d but didn't give me much feel for the plane.

Got out again today with the batteries up front and the CG is now very close to where it needs to be. The plane was trim free and feel upright and inverted was great. First flight I got the set up tweaked and the plane mixed. Elevators are really powerful so ended up dialing them back even more for sequence work and increased rudder throw a little. It snaps really nicely, really precise on exit, ended up with a little less down throw for negative. 6% elev to rudder KE and 2% opposite aileron. No downline mix needed and the thrust lines seem very close indeed with the spinner matched to the cowl ring. The engine and pipes (3W 110CS and 1060 pipes) were in my EF 104" Extra so ran great right from the start - I love how smooth this engine is and the torque. Fantastic power delivery

I really got on well with the plane in the sequence work. It tracks really nicely. With some aileron differential the top skin hinged ailerons worked fine for me, I was a little worried about that. Similar to the 40%, It 3d'd well on the cg I'm running for the sequence work - this plane is more agile and aggressive than it's bigger brother though. Seems the elevators are more powerful especially which works great for me. Had a problem with the exhaust on the 3rd flight, so had to pack up - I was a bit gutted and the plane was really working out for me. Can't wait to go and play again!

Lol - we'll see. It could just be a smoking hole in the ground of mass incompetence video with my flying I'll see what I can do as I get a bit more time and miles on the plane.

Nah. I know you'll do great. I really want to see how this scheme presents.

Thanks for the report. Any chances to post a video about the plane?

The Skydancer scheme looks great. Good to see something a bit different.

It's looking like I'll be getting the same scheme as Andrew's but with orange instead of magenta. Can't wait!
