Custom carbon fiber gear

I'm in need of help finding a custom carbon fiber landing gear for a 32% Extra 330. I've tried Graphtech and after several emails back and forth been unable to come up with one . Is there another source that I'm unaware of ?

Thanks

Try something from an ARF, such as an Extreme Flight Extra

If you come up dry on CF, TNT can most likely make you a custom aluminum gear.

I remember years ago getting frustrated with CF gear problems and switching to TNT aluminum and the weight penalty wasnt that bad really - maybe an oz or two at 30% size. Much more durable as well if you are a bit ham firsted on landings.

Of course, this was in the timeframe when CF gear was still a "new" thing and the layup and fabrication techniques where not as good as they are today and gears where notorious for delaminating in the shoulders (i.e. on Edge style gear with hard corners).

Take a look at this: http://www.tntlandinggear.com/choice...ow_availab.htm
I just ordered custom gear for a PAU Sukhoi. They are great to work with.

I think GraphTech is on hard times or having other issues. I ordered one of their tailwheel assemblies last year and it was over a month before I received it. I called multiple times and when I finally got someone on the phone, she told me that someone was coming in the next day to lay it up. So, they hadn’t even started it and it was about a week after I was told this that I finally received a shipping notification. Even if someone had to make it to order, two-weeks these days is a long time, IMO.

Please post a picture when you receive them. After reading this I sent an email requesting availability of Custom Cut for PAU Sukhoi, EF Extra 300, 78”, Pilot Edge 540, 78”, Ultra Stick 30cc, and Mamba 70cc.

Do the come pre-drilled? for mounting? for wheel axles? for wheel pants? Just curious to know how much work on my end, don’t mind at all but rather just starting to plan the time. My fleet will soon be standing tall on some sweet landing gear!

This is the TNT custom gear I ordered. I'll have to cut it (the PAU Sukhoi has two piece gear due to the cannister tunnel), drill it and finish it.

Thanks for all the help, I contacted TNT and got a great looking gear that fit like it was made for it. Super support and quick shipping at a good price. It's not CF but it fit perfectly, and I didn't have to wait six months .
