Also the points come with an explanation of why the Op got them and the ability to edit the post and have the point removed.
So anyone who has points has actually said "NO I will not edit my post" and accepted the point.

OR.. if someone is found to be a troll or a spammer or has multiple accounts they can be banned as a spammer/troll.

Again this takes some effort, and you would have to be trying to have two accounts. I really don't know anyone who has 2 active accounts by accident.


Really it's quite simple.

IF you make a mistake and break a rule, go back and change your post. Usually it's simply how a response is worded.

If you tell someone "You are a moron and your wrong" that would be a personal attack.

if you said "I'm sorry but I disagree with you, I personally would do that in thsi way".. you are golden.

The rules are pretty straight forward.

Yes, as the moderator issues the infraction it will send you a PM asking you to edit the post. If you do, the infraction is reversed, if you do not, then a point is issued.

So Basically,we can NO LONGER have fun with the people we have known FOR YEARS around here using a fun verbal jab,or a little adult content like we have for YEARS ?

Here is the thing. YOUR OTHER MEMBERS ARE REPORTING THE POSTS.

The moderators do not actively go after people and look for problems. They get reported post warnings.
Usually, when there are not troll threads going rampant, in a normal threads the problem is simply a guy who got hot headed and called a guy a name. Then it's a simple "Edit the post" and all is good in the world again.

When weird threads pop up that are hatefests, or just plain mean the thread is drawing attention, everyone is heated and many posts are reported, and the eye of scrutiny is drawn to that thread.

The awful threads that popped up that were started by trolls caused more points to be handed out than I have seen in probably 12 months. And T-bob's thread which started out funny has gone down the toilet. I have gotten several PM's from good members that are appalled at the posts as their 13 year old kids are on FG (as they are allowed to be) and are being bombarded with racism, and other things that should not be posted.

I am all about fun. If you have ever met me you know this. I love a good prank or ball bust as much as the next guy, but at the same time, I know how to act when I am in a family type area.

A good ribbing is fine. A silly video link would be ok. But a video that has tons of swearing or racist comments is simply not ok.

honestly I should not have to say this. I thought this was common sense.

Cool thanks. Odd though, I know people with points not there.

OK,so i butt heads with a few of the trolls over the week....How do i know if these are the guys that reported me....Hell,i have been around here for YEARS (since day 1,so my screan name changed and ip address when i moved back to Florida and started from scratch),and i have never changed,So why is it since all this crud around here started that i now have all these points ? If you ask me,IT'S BS.....and i am not racist,i have 12 Black brothers and sisters,anybody that knows me,knows that.
