Question
ZDZ 160 Mounting options

Recently acquired a zdz 160 for my 50% cub.
Curious on the best way to mount it? flat fire wall.
Originally was simply going to turn standoffs out of 1" aluminium.
Better options? Google shows me a lot of Play wood box type mounts.
FYI stand off's would need to be 5.5" long Will post pics below.

I have done both as well as layered ply together and made a lightweight extension with the old scroll saw... That's my preferred method.. Here is one I made for a DA85.. With holes to access the linkages and to reach the needles. I ended up embedding some straws in it that aligned with the needles and it worked well

I would go with a wood box ( maple or a good hard wood ) over the standoffs --- it will give you more support for your zdz160 .

Shape the wood to the back of your engine , then open up the middle area for the carb. and drill holes for your fuel line and linkages . Just my 2 cents worth , others might do it different .
