Smoke system availability

Evening everyone,

I just backed into a great deal on an Aeroworks 50cc Extra. Just for fun I was thinking of putting a smoke system in it. Iíve never tried one before and no one locally is doing anything like it. Are smoke systems still available and in use? Where would I find one? Thanks.

Yes smoke systems are out there and actually improved from years past. Reliable pumps that can run of RX battery power. Efficient smoke oil delivery & consumption rates means your able to use a smaller smoke tank without sacrificing smoke time. 35cc airframe or even 20cc airframe smoke systems are not out of the question these days.

This is a good pump for smaller planes. Nice price too.

Don’t even try a smoke system without the Bad Dog nozzles. Absolute must have.

Ever used one of those pumps? Wonder if they leak over time like so many do.

Yes. A lot. Never a problem

But, I try to mount my smoke pumps where a leak wouldn’t cause a big problem as the pump or plumbing can usually leak at some point.
