Maiden done

As far as I know my ARS300 is the first to take to the sky in the UK!

Managed to get 5 flights in with it this evening all of which were a non event! first flight required a couple of clicks of elevator and that was it. With the remaining flights, I kept moving the batteries back and it just got better and better!! It flies very neutral, very precise to fly due to that long moment arm and is amazingly agile once the rates are turned up = snaps are very crisp and it stops as soon as you let go of the sticks without adding any extra little surprises. May need to add a tad of right thrust but I will wait for a calmer day without a cross wind before I start making any trimming adjustments like that.

Left the field a very happy chap tonight.

Pilot and lettering to be added shortly...

Cheers Scott,

Really, really pleased with it! cannot wait to get up the field with it again. Just ordered some of the lettering for it and hope to sort out the pilot today.

As a matter of interest have you had any feedback about the hole location for the 2 screws that hold the spats on either side? I found with mine the holes had been pretty much drilled on the knuckle of the leg and as soon as you went to tighten them it twisted the spat and that jammed on the wheel - easily sorted just a tad frustrating.

I have not heard that but I will take a look at some to see what your looking at! thanks for the heads up. If it is an issue we will make some changes. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Scott,

No problem re the feedback - with a new model there is going to be the odd bit of minor teething problems.

Whilst I remember the other area you may want to check is the exit holes for the rudders pull pull system. I found with mine that they exit directly behind a former resulting in the wires not having a clear line of sight from / to the servo and rudder - I did cross the wires with no real difference. The wires actually kink round the former slightly! again easily fixed by popping a hole through the former and using a couple of pieces of clear small bore plastic tube as guides.

For those of you that are putting one of these planes together...

It's worth checking the 4 little screws that hold the wheels centre hub halves together - I didn't and on it's very first outing one screw became loose and jammed itself against the wheel locking collet! luckily I was just wheeling the plane out to the flight line, otherwise it may of been pretty messy if it had happened whilst landing or taking off.

NEW AJ Aircraft 120cc ARS 300 at Joe Nall 2017!

Many of you that were there probably noticed that they put this new prototype plane through it's paces all week long at Joe Nall. I for one can not wait for them to get to the market. This is one amazing machine!
