aluminium foil

I have a BVM kit from the 90 , the fuselage and wing are prime and finish .
Thinking to cover the model with aluminium foil like Terry Nitsch .
Where is the best place to buy that product..
I can always use the stuff from the plumbing store , but I don't want the model to be to heavy
product available in North America if possible.

I've not used this stuff, but have ran across it in the forums before. Maybe this might be something to look at... at least to get a conversation going... It does look interesting...

Good luck with your project... sounds like a nice classic model.

Flite Metal and Aero-Foil are the two main products used for this in the scale community. Similar to hvac tape, but its a bit thinner and it comes in much wider rolls (12 inches or more).

FYI - I use Aero Foil, its the thinner product of the two and easier to work around curves... buts its still not easy relative to glassing and Monokote... There is a real technique to it, and the owner of Flite Metal is a frequent contributor on RCScalebuilder giving out lots of tips. Signing up there to ask questions wouldn't hurt.
