A few people I know are using 13x4 with good results -- a 14x4W seems really heavy to me and since your Katana will likely be lighter than a twist you'd be better sacrificing a little thrust for faster spool-up.

Use wood -- it's so much better than plastic. I'm using Volk/Xoar wood props on all my profiles now and they rock - much better thrust than APC and the throttle response is incredible due to the lower weight.

If you would like to have unlimted vertical performance try APC 11,25X3,75
Best performance when hovering...

Most of the guys around here bring them in from China -- Himodel.com has some good ones. We order stuff pretty regularly so if you want some just let me know and we'll get some more next time we order something.

Yeah a 14 x 4 is a bit much for this little engine.

We have about 4 profiles (a true ProBro) and we use a 13x4 on the 55AX which works best for us.

Some dudes from the US use the 12.25x3.75 but its gonna make that engine work!

Re: Katana V2 55AX

Hi bill,

Weres your old hundy gone?? Nice yak though :-)
I have moved to blenheim so im not at whenuapai anymore :-(

I have just got a katana v2 and a 46ax and all i can say is it is awsome heaps of pull out power on a 12.25x3.75 and even better i am running it on no nitro!!

Compared to my pbg 260 on 20%nitro it is much cheaper to run.

Good luck with it and let me know how it goes. Adam has a 46 on his hovering cobra and it seems to go well ask him what to use on the 55ax.

Cheeers steve.
