If anyone is interested I supply fittings and gas tubing for outfitting your own Fiji water bottle or other suitable juice and water bottle (Dasani bottles are also very good except round). Contact me direct please, RCmaster199@aol.com
Thanks Matt |

I'm no Viton expert, but I think there's more than one kind. I'm fairly certain there's a softer one, and another that's not so much.

I just go to my local lawn mower repair shop and get Echo brand OE viton fuel line. It's the same stuff they put in all of their power tools. I don't know about others but all of the viton I have seen has been very flexible so I run brass tubes in the tank to keep the clunk from flipping forward

It isn't bad but not for my liking. You can pull Viton out of a fuel tank after five years and for the most part it is like the day you installed it. I quit using Tygon some years ago - in the cold that stuff is like hard plastic and not a whole lot better when it is warm. |

For me I would not have anything on the inside of the tank that would impede the clunk from moving freely to the bottom when doing acro flying. |

On my current H9 Carden Extra install, I took a fiji bottle exactly like my tank and cut it right down the middle and then cut the cap portion off. I mounted the remaining bottle portion to my plane and then set the tank into that with strapping over the top. This provided an extra measure of protection against chaffing or stress from the mount and it does a great job of securing the tank. This has worked so well that I will do it for all installs here on out. I would imagine a drain could even be fashioned to route any possible leaks outside but I'm not that dedicated. Sorry no pics
