Okay, back to the build.

Remember the trick for cutting the turtle deck? I use the same method on the canopy.

I use the solder like a plumber uses to get the shape of the hatch and then lay it over the canopy, mark the cut line, and then make a rough cut that is about an inch outside the mark.
You will cut a lot more than you think. You see I cut 6 inches off the front. I placed the rough cut canopy on the hatch and to check fit. Itís better to make a few cuts and sneak up on it than to cut too much.

I used a straight edge to get the line from turtle deck to the canopy. I keep cutting the front until the straight edge is flat; otherwise the canopy looks like a bubble.

Once the front is cut I used masking tape to mark the sides at the parting line from the fuse to the hatch. I also marked the back so it could be cut.

Like I said, you end up cutting a lot more than you would expect.

And here is a picture of the fuse with the canopy, rudder, and cowl set in place so we can see how the lines turned out.

Your next plane needs to be an Extra. I know, It takes more skill to fly with just one wing, but I know you will get there one day. LOL

The original plan was to have the same cowl and canopy from the ARF. This keeps parts available for all the ARF guys on the shelf.

The extras are cool but I just like biplanes and my flying skills still require me to have that top training wing
