Earle,
Look at the pictures further up with the wings on and sitting on the wheels. With the dihedral in the wings, that section of the wings has a lot of air between them and the ground.
Also, there should never be a "not-so-perfect landing".

LOL....in my dreams. You're probably right about clearance, and I'm sure DAG has taken this into account. But long spans and a little wing low at the wrong time

Got a bit done on the stabs. These are mock-ups, but the V-stab may become flight hardware.

Thanks, DAG

The jets pods are a huge thing in my mind. Any bad landing my end up with a jet pods going berserk as it is being dragged by its wires 20" behind the wing

Did early versions of the B-36 fly without the jet pods?

I see you noticed that too....I wasn't going to say anything about that but it was pretty typical of most workshops I've seen

looking back your first post was 12-2008 and it looked like you had been on it for some time at that point. what was the date the first cut was made. I know you said you had 10 yr of plaining. and now that it is getting close when do you think you will make thr first flight? I really like watching this one come together

Introducing the complete airframe, OK.... so a few parts are still mock-ups.

The A-C model did not have jets, well I think... I know the A&B did not....

The Jet pods will come off form transport.

The first part was cut on 10-17-08.

This (minus stand) is what will be at SEFF with my other planes.

Thanks!!!!

Met Dag a few years ago at SEFF and talked to him about this plane. he is one heck of a guy and has the skills to boot.

Its looking great I hope to see it fly in person one day.
