great job bill. The panel weight is just about right. Our 40% sbach with 118 inch wing span has about the same panel weight. Love your yak.

What happened with the tail wheel? Did the screws pull out? I need to get my graphtec wheel on mine but screwing it straight into the ply still makes me nervous.

Because of the sub-fin on the fuselage, the TW is mounted at a greater angle to the ground causing the tw wire to actually angle forward with the wheel. Any steering inputs causes the wheel to lean alittle bit. This cause the rubber to roll of the rim. It is not the ideal set up, it is light weight but I need to bend the wire rearward or put the stock TW back on. I am really worried that if I try to bend the wire it will break. I dont think you will have a problem with the whole unit screwing it into the sub frame.... mine held up just fine on its first landing.

The Cactus Classic is not looking to good for me as of now.... the small issues I am having arent the problem, it is practicing. I dont think I will have time during the week to get out and do any flights. Also, I heard all the Tucson gang isnt going to come up either. Brad, Steve, Nick, and a few others are going to skip the CC.

Davis Monthan Airforce Base here in Tucson is having an airshow and everyone seems to be going there from TRCC.

Thanks for the response. I guess I will just put the wheel on and see what happens. The only problem I have with graphtech wheels is the little metal wire holding the wheel...not sure why they went with that.

Sorry to hear that Bill. I guess we'll shoot for the Tucson event in April then!!! Looks real nice though. I would like to compare size and moments to my 120" QQ.

I only have (1) elevator servo per side so I am only using 1" arms on the servo, I really want to keep the slop down on the elevators so only IMAC stuff.

The airplanes are avialable now but I am out of stock. Cost is $1400.00 with C/F gear, tubes etc.. There is a waiting list but I am not sold out yet on the next shipment. Red/Yellow and Red/White/Blue schemes. It is covered in Oracover which is called Ultracote here in the U.S.

Not enough time on the plane yet but it did feel good for the time I had it in the air.
