Re: Lums Pond IMAC June 7/8 08

Albert, by all means show up...

Jake and Mark,

I'll drag the Edge and maybe the 2.6M down though I'll probably not get much time to fly them.

I just got the can installed into the Edge a few minutes ago and will be doing the Da85 over the weekend. this thing is gonna rock at around 22.5 to 23 pounds. I'm thinking I'm gonna need a 3-blade to tone it down a bit

I can also put together a binder of the needed stuff for the new guys that will help them out.

I am confirmed at this time for the Judging thingy that Kent and Wayne are doing in Fayetteville in mid-march. They need 20 people right now to be sure they can do it and right now it looks like they have maye 10. They are trying to get the guys that are going to FT to show up as well. If they cannot get the people then my bet is they may have to cancel which would totally suck . I did not make Jacksonville as I had planned because I came down wth that stupid stomach flu the day before I was to leave.

Hey Chris and Albert.. ( I know Bill is pretty flexible) I would like to know what your schedules are like in March / April so that we can get several high end pilots together and make the intro day that much more enjoyable.

Last count there was 7-10 people in our club who are thinking of competeing for teh June event and possibly more... it would be great to add a few more people to the NE sector and get us all alittle more active.

Bill I know you are planning an FL trip.. anthing else we need to work around?

We would probably be better to target a Sunday since we can fly after 6.. although depending when it happens it may not matter due to lighting.

In the meantime I will put out some feelers to see who would be interested in the club.

Heck I will even deal with lunch for everyone if we can get enough interest.. I think it will be a great help to everyone!

Jake,

the only thin I have is March 15 and 16 in North Carolina for the Judging seminar.

I'm in Daytona right now at the track having a blast though and other than March these 2 things are all I have until the season starts

Having Albert and Chris there is a huge plus if they can make it

Cool.. must be nice! I am a working slave right now!

I agree about Chris and Albert.. sure Vinny might even make the trip I would love some time with Chris and Vinny to talk about the 3D on the side too haha.

We will colllect some dates where everyone is unavailable and make it happen when all can be there.

I just emailed the BOD to see what their thoughts were and to get the ball rolling.

Yea, gotta love the iPhone for Internet portability

you'll need to talk to Vinny and try to give him as much notice as possible. He often spends weekends taking care of Leon to give Anabel a break but I'm sure he would try to be there, especially if Chris and Albert are coming.

Jake,

The only Sunday I could not be there is April 27th. It looks like the PaxAero contest is tentative (according to the IMAC web site) for April 26-27 and I'll want to go to that one.

Hey guys how is everyone? So Bill did you make the judging seminar? I did the Jacksonville seminar and it was eye openning. Does anyone know if the judging seminar at the WRAM show ever happened. I flew Sportsman at the Miami meet finished 10 of 16. Wasn't really ready for it but doing the first contest highlights where work is needed. Flying my first unknown was pretty cool. My next contest is Tampa in April. We'll see. Looking forward to the season.
