Re: Intro to IMAC in DE

Hey, that date should be ok for me. I know of a couple people I may be able to bring along who are getting interested in IMAC.

There was an electric last year at either Shawnee or Milford, in Basic. That's a nice feature of that class, anything goes. I don't remember any issues? Of course at my age, I don't remember much of anything!

Electrics are not a problem at all. The only issue that I have ever heard of was that there was stipulation that you had to use a single powerplant- my understanding was that this meant anyone who ganged motors to drive a single shaft weren't legal.

This may have been changed/corrected. Personally I'd have a lot of trouble telling someone they couldn't fly with such an arrangement and certainly for this IMAC primer it is not an issue at all.

I think you're right Dave. They changed the rule so that multiple motors can be used as long as they drive a single shaft with a single prop.

Section 4.1 of the Judging guide does allow for multiple electric motors and only one propeller

Or at the very least go to lunch and come back and tell them you ate something that did not agree with you and you need to go home.

Works for me every time
