Thanks, Ali. I've only had a couple of Phoenix Model planes, and they flew great. The problem is that covering they use cracks and peels off. That happened on my big Spit, and now it's happening on my 'Horizon' 20cc Mustang made by them. That one isn't even built yet

Not a problem.
Strange to hear that about your covering. I have a 20cc P-47 that is prototype no1 and that's now 3 years old and whilst the covering is not pristine. Its not what I would call cracked or peeling off? It's in a lot better shape than any conventional covered plane I have had for the same period of time and done such little work on. All three Oscars were left out in the sun all week last week and there was a big change in temp and humidity. The only bit that shows any signs of needing attention is the black anti glare. Even that is not so bad. I may leave it as it is for the next two events ( This weekend and next ). I still suggest keeping them out of direct sun light and in a reasonably dry and temp stable environment if/ when possible. The balsa underneath is not a big fan of getting damp and then hot and then cold again and again. So I cant think of any film covering that does well in those environments? Regards Ali |

Not a problem. As I said before and As I said in the PM response. Neither the Oscar, 20cc P-47 or P-51 20cc are made at Phoenix.

Hey Ali,
I thought I'd ask this offline since I only later noticed you're with Horizon now. Didn't mean to get into proprietary stuff in the forum. Regarding my question about Phoenix, I'm pretty certain the P-51 and this new Ki are made by Phoenix. Looking at the pic of the inside of the fuse it's pretty identical to every Phoenix I've seen, plus the tail wheel is identical to the Spit's. If it's not Phoenix, do you know if there's a common manufacturer doing stuff for Horizon and Phoenix? Thanks |

I see the weight max at 28 pounds when I open the combo web page with the Saito. Is it possible that this combo with retracts actually weighs about 28 pounds? I may be hoping for too much considering the Saito FG-90R3 is 3,568g, but it would be important to know since the DA-60 is less than half the weight.

The very first DLE powered Oscar came in at 23.3lbs ready to fly. But that was with no nose weight. I added 1.5lbs to that one 1.5, but could probably have gotten away with just 1lbs. Hope this helps. Regards Ali |

Reading through the manual, There is no mention of mounting the FG 90-3.
If this plane was designed to have that engine as an option, (and I have one and have ordered the Oscar,) a bit of info would not go amiss. Dave. |

My bad. We did not have an R3 available at the time the manual was produced. Sorry.
It really is not that difficult a job. If you have any trouble. Feel free to ask on here or send me a PM and I will be happy to assist. Regards Ali |
