Mine is not in the centre like it would be with a DA 120 and it's right behind the muffler, my concern is it will get hot and burn up, I am not opening the tunnel but I've got huge exit air in bottom of cowl with low pressure lip
Generally the servo is placed into a cutout and most of it including the wire is inside the fuse
You will be fine I have mine the same with a DA 120 only I have ever had the block came unglued. Luckily on the ground.

Cool thanks

I've had this airframe since last summer but basically got no time on it at all, tried the ZDZ 97 single and that didn't work out, as you can see from my rebuilt firewall it took a little work to get it back and ready to accept the GP.
Damn rear carb on the ZDZ lol

The Canopy for my EF Slick 580 105.5'', red / blue / white scheme was ripped off in mid-flight, screws are still attached and very tight. Plane landed safely.

I don't have canister and therefore the opening under the firewall is kept closed, I made 4 small opening in the bottom by cutting the covering on already designed opening so as to dissipate any pressure build up during flight. I was doing a crankshaft when the canopy got ejected.

1- EF and Northwest RC don't have this item in stock, any idea on where I can find the canopy, I really need it.

2- Should I open more in the bottom? or close the existing one I already opened, I cannot put another canopy to loose it again. What am I doing wrong here?

Appreciate your help..

Thx

1- try Gonzo hobbies

2- I opened up the canister opening behind the firewall and add a low pressure lip. Also made some openings under the fuselage as well

Here’s my setup. There’s really not
Much to it. I think the low pressure lip is crucial is it help air exists from inside the fuselage

Just looking for ideas as this bird is grounded for now.
Hi Duane, did you manage to solve the flutter eventually?
I get it also, and tried everything, CA on the carbon tube, sealed hinges, new servos with no avail.

zero elevator issues over here, is this a common problem?
Only problem I've had with my plane after 50+ flights is... trees that get in the way. That cost me $700 but she's still flying great.

No problem on elevators either. One time I noticed fluttering but it was due to a loose servo arm, after tightening problem solved. I suggest you test with new servo arms first and then with new servos. This is certainly not a design problem
