Ive been a big fam of Bluebirds and have a few of the smaller ones...150oz. They have performed great. I had 1 go out when I applied a mix beyond the absolute travel...but that was my fault. I should have set the absolute travel first, then applied the mix.

The BLS 3114 and BLS 2209 servos are Manning up to the task! The Futaba 9157's are good but they stall on the elevator of my edge at 6 volts. The 3114 blazes its way to where you want it in any maneuver on my 104 extra! Start stop right now performance. I would tell you at least give em a try!

Good news on Blue Bird customer service. The servos I sent them are back and operating like new. Took 1 month from the time I sent them to be returned good as new at no charge. I just paid shipping to send them 12$ not 27$. One was warranty (BMS 1715) and the other I destroyed the motor pinion by using the A 206 mini as a tail wheel steering servo on a 30%yak 54. Customer service!

There are not any US dealers / service that I know of. I sent them directly to Taiwan.

I purchased two BLS-31A for comparison . I ran both on the bench using the servo function on the radio transmitter, no problems, heated up 10f after a hour. The lash measured .010" at 1 1/4", feels like a Hitec 7955. Attempted to measure the torque but my 16# spring scale ran out of travel, I need to borrow a friends 50# digital. I ganged both together and ran them over the entire travel range, could stop anywhere and the current would drop to zero. I could find no reason not to purchase more and use them.

Center perfectly and have a 25 tooth spline just like futaba. I am near completion of a 104 inch extreme flight extra 300 and using the 3114's all around. So far I think they match up pretty close to JR and Futaba quality and performance. At half the cost of high end servos I think these are no brainers for the 3D / High performance arena.

49dimes, can you give an update on the Blue Bird brushless servos? I've been following these and am quite interested. Considering BLS 26A for ailerons in a 120cc Edge.

Electrical Specification (Function Of The Performance)
Torque At 6.0V 21 kg-cm / 292 oz-in
Torque At 7.4V 26.5 kg-cm / 368 oz-in
Speed At 6.0V 0.11 sec / 60°
Speed At 7.4V 0.09 sec / 60°

I have had the bls-31a in my 91" EF extra running on direct 2s lipo, they have filled my expectations over the last year and given me no issues. I have felt confident enough to purchase 9 of the bms-35a for my upcoming 120cc build.

I have been running the Turnigy 620dmg re branded Blue bird servos in my profile for over a year now with great success. Very little slop, fast speed, good centering and great torque. I bought extras in case of issues but have not had one so far. If your looking for a 200 oz/in class servo, these cannot be beat when you factor in a $18 price tag. I had nightmares with the Turnigy re branded Power HD servos but these blue birds have proven to be a great servo at a great price

You said "bms-31a", but I think you meant "bls-31a", brushless, correct? I have the bms-35a coreless and the bms-28a coreless. I don't see a bms-31a on the manufacturers website. I have the bms-35a on the rudder of a 35% Extra and its getting the job done.

Woops corrected the above. To confirm I have the bls-31a (brushless) on the extra and have the bms-35a (coreless) to try on the 120cc build.

Mutt those 620s look like just what I have been looking for to go in a 1.20 sized project I didn't really want to spend a fortune on.
