I love this video. So quickly we forgot how challenging the wind was. This was from the semis. It blew much harder for the first half of the finals.

There is probably a video somewhere but during practice Jason pulled his plane up into a wall and flew backwards before letting it settle in to land. It was pretty funny to watch but absolutely challenging conditions and definitely risky on airframes! All pilots rose to the challenge.

That is just crazy. I’m not sure I could have taken off and landed in those conditions let alone flown any type of maneuver “on purpose”. Taking the whole “the show must go on”to new levels but I guess there’s not much of a choice. Not too easy to have a rain date.

Great effort guys. I can't even imagine flying in those conditions.
