Thanks! I'll pass along the compliment to Blake. He is a smooth pilot, true that!

What to do when you're bored in the hotel room...
I quess Blake was bored waiting in the hotel room...he's at pattern meet this weekend, didn't get to fly it in the gym so this is the next best thing. He said everyone at the meet flipped out when he took it out at the end of practice. David K. looks like you might have some more Clik orders coming your way!

By the way Blake, you're building the next one!

Here's the replacement Mini-Clik V2.0. Massaged the fuse and wings a little. Powered by MicroDan F3P 2003 motor with new magnets that will swing an 8 x 4 GWS DD prop. Will try and post some video soon...

Here's the 34" version. Powered by MicroDan 2505-3D/TP 3s 730/9 x 4.7SF.
AUW is about 10oz. Basic 6mm foam construction-carbon wing spar, depron diagonal reinforcements on fuse. Should be a nice around the yard type 3D'er.

Here's some footage of the Clik X. Got a little dark, but hey there's an LED on the RX! No need for lighting system...

Re: 52" wingspan Clik!

Been awhile since I've done the Clik X. Here's a more updated version I'm starting now. Milled out tailfeathers and ailerons. Saw everyone else having fun with Dremels and didn't want to get left out. Saved about 11 grams total. Probably will mill out some more on the fuse too. My first go at milling out depron so it looks a little rough but it'll do the job. This version will have several improvements as well as some nice carbon gear from Ken @ hobbyncrafts@yahoo.com. He does excellent work and has or will make custom carbon gear for you at very reasonable prices. Will post some pics of the Clik X with gear on it.

You need to make a 2m x 2m version and actually fly it in a pattern contest. That'd shake things up a bit

Already working on just what you speak of! Funny thing it would probably fly well enough, just don't think the judges would appreciate a foamie pattern plane=big fat 0 for a score I bet! And instead of the usual boring takeoff's we plan on yelling "hand launch!" Somehow I don't think they'll like any victory rolling harriers down the runway either. Some people have no sense of humor!

Re: 52" wingspan Clik!

Just about to wrap up the Clik-X. A couple of more things to finish up and she'll be ready for a maiden this weekend at the Ocala pattern contest probably. Blake should have some fun testing this one out too. He's had about 250+flights on version 1. Good testbed for this size plane. V2.0 has a few more tweaks should be about just right. Then the worst part is I let Blake talk me into doing a bipe. Not that I don't like them, just don't like doing umpteen versions to get it right. Bipes are a little harder to engineer than monoplanes, so hopefully I'll get close on the first one. Will start another thread for this one.

Re: 52" wingspan Clik!

Got the Clik-X done and ready for maiden. This one comes in @ 12oz. with LG from ken@hobbysncrafts.com. Thanks a lot Ken really nice gear. Got to hit you up for a 2nd set for the Bipe-X! Airframe is tweaked some more and surfaces milled out. Will cover with film if milling caused adverse coupling(don't think so, but never know till you fly it). The 34" size is a backyard blast. Or indoors when the wind is too strong(over 20)

Re: 52" wingspan Clik!

Which one the Clik-X or the Bipe-X? I'm waiting on some 3154's to show up so I can finish the bipe off. Should have some fun testing it. I'll have to admit, never been a big bipe(3D) fan but this one might change my mind. Thanks for the kind words! Here's a test paint scheme for the next one after we see what shows up better in flight.
