Why can't we have the LVRCS contest anymore? Did something happen?

I seem to recall Mr. Dave Getz telling me he had some problems with some of the club members as well as some other issues which compelled him to not hold the contest again but don't quote me on that.

Just want to thank everyone who is stepping up and hosting contests in the 09 season! We would love to have one here in central Jersey, but don't have a field that could host it.It's amazing to see this region come together after the horrible contest season we had in 07.Another big thanks goes out to Albert and Stan for all of their hard work,we all really appreciate it.

John,I would be more than happy to help you any way I can, just let me know.

Guys, i'm hoping to see you folks be successful in your bid for more contests... last weekend, Bill, and Tony were down in ocala, and they shared some of their visions for the NE Imac group... let's get 'R Cranked up over the Winter, and get a judging Clinic, and a bunch of contests schedule.. Thks, and look forward to working with Albert and the entire gang.

A lot of us here in the Northeast really want to have a blowout season in 09' Don! We have a lot of great people stepping up to the plate to help out, and tons of ideas and visions going around. I think we are going to see the most active NE Region group ever in 09! Hopefully, there will also be a crew of us heading out to the NATS once again in 09, as that is definetly on our plate as well!

Hopefully that all gets figured out amicably. That's always a good contest.

I was contacted by a few members of lvrcs and was informed that Dave Getz has yet to give the money made at the contest to the club. I don't know the reason but I do know that the club is not happy and will most likely not host a contest there again. Not a good situation !

John,

CT is a perfect location for the regionals as it should draw a larger crowd. Let's work hard this winter on making 09 an awesome season as I know we can. Bill Larsey and Tony Bonanno are working on a very needed judging seminar, 09 will be awesome !!!!!!

Bill and I met on the judging seminar schedule while we were in Ocala together and we are hoping to do one stand alone seminar on Saturday May 9th or sometime around that time and then do a Sunday practical review at a field. We are also hoping to do a 2nd seminar on a Friday night tied to one of the contests. We will be putting both seminars on the contest calendar once the schedule is published. The May 9th seminar or whatever date we pick around that time will be at a location that is around the center of our region. Not yet finalized but our current thinking. The logic of May 9th is that it is prior to the start of most of our contests.

Neil, You don't need the practice but next time you are more than welcome to join me. I am hoping to make it to the AMPs meet which I think is in February. You should try to make it. I saw that you won your first Intermediate contest at Pax, congrats. I was planning on moving up to Int but now that you are there I may have to rethink it. I only fly cardens. WHich one are you planning on getting.

Hey Mr. Tony,

Thanks. I am currently building the Carden 300. I have started a build thread here on FG: https://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/...300-build.html

I am making pretty good progress and I have been more than happy with the quality of the kit. I can't wait to fly it next season in IMAC!!
