Rob, Johnathans plane on the 170 is very intimidating. Too much power and speed. We still have the engine rich so there is no low end. It blurbles and gets on the pipes. Until we get this power band tuned out it is not easy to handle. I did get to fly it over the weekend and it flies very well, snaps are crisp.
I bought a 50 cc pilot rc extra and a dle 55. Something to throw around.

I thought I had lost it....Sam keep saying DA-170 and I remember you saying 170 but the maiden You Tube header had 150.
On the new plane, that will be fun to watch. I'm sure they will have fun now.

John it sounds like a typical 170 on pipes. Several guys I know and trust say the new Pro Flow cans solve all the DA 170 issues. You wont have quite the power of pipes, but I think I'd trade a little top end power for a reliable idle, smooth transition, and a useable midrange. Something you might want to study.

Yes Jed it is a 170. However the aeroworks plane is called a 150 cc extra 300 on the aeroworks website rather than 40% .
