Mercury F3P.

I just started flying the Mercury F3P.
This plane was designed by Nicolas Pietu and is being distrubuted here in the States by www.SkipMillermodels.com.
I ordered it last week from them and they have been great to deal with.

Plane went together extremely well. Foam was nice and flat, no warps.
Everything fit really well.
There really wasnt anything to putting it together.

I put several flights on the plane this evening and its incredible.
SUPER slow, Extremely precise and very neutral.
Its literally like flying a pattern plane indoors.

Mines has:

Eflite 250 motor
Eflite 10 esc
GWS 7x3.5 DD prop
JR 185 servos on the tail (pull-pull)
Eflite S-60 on rudder.
Spektrum 2gram RX

4.1 oz no battery
5.0 oz with a 2S 480

This design takes everything good off the F3P group and rolles it into 1 design. This is the best of current thinking on indoor precision aerobatics.

I like how they did the pattern style rudder to get equal displacement about the thrust line. That is certainly something new in an F3p foamy.

Milled Mercury.

My buddy Craig Koerner said he would mill out a Mercury for me.
He just posted these pics.
Total weight removed was .4oz or 11.33g
AWESOME.

Thanks Craig.
(He's watching here if anyone has questions for him)

It's the same method as Matchless posted on here on how to mill a foamy.

If it's a Mercury, pretty quick. Once the template is made it doesn't take long. Took me about 3.5-4hrs to make the template.
