The Carden is still under the workbench, I hope to get it out and do some maintenance on it this next week. Pretty sure my first flights will be in Richland.

No flights on the gasser yet for me... spent a good share of last weekend trying to make the motor start easier... no luck yet... ordered sensor, ignition, and carb yesterday. Should be here today. Hopefully 1 of those three will be the ticket... weather looking good for flying this weekend.

It looks like the weather down here maybe alright this weekend and there is no snow on the runway so I hope to get out and get the sequence down. I did the annual on the plane this past weekend and she is ready and willing to go.
So everybody that has not signed up for the Grizzly Bear because of lack of practice, just look at the first contest as two days of Unknowns (Like Me) and get signed up here http://www.mini-iac.org/Event-Details/PID/727 It makes it easier for the Staff to plan ahead.
I look forward to seeing everybody and getting some flying in.

I spoke with the TCRCM folks and they had their field cleanup last weekend and report the field is in good shape

So lets all come out and shake off the cobwebs

Studying intermediate known since I will have to judge it this year.
Maneuver 5: 1 1/2 turn spin followed by OPPOSITE quarter roll?
Snaps on 4 an d 7: Negative snaps from inverted, correct? Nose should pitch up ( toward the sky not toward the ground)?

Guys, Bob Anderson just finished mowing the runway, and all is ready for your visit this coming weekend. We've been flying for a few weeks so far this Spring. Come and enjoy.

Number 5 is correct, 1 1/2 positive spin followed by an opposite 1/4 roll.

4 and 7 are both negative snaps. negative snaps always pitch toward the belly or wheels regardless whether you are upright or inverted.

Same with a positive snap, it will pitch toward the canopy regardless if you are upright or inverted.

A great way to learn the negative snap in 4 and 7 is to think sticks up and in (together) or sticks up and out (away from each other)

also known as "sticks in" or "sticks out" depending on the direction you wish the plane to snap.
