I think the powers that be had some server issues. Couple other threads are discussing that. And the FFAA thread lost some posts from Flying Skunks and WrongwayRC.

For sure some ghosts in the machine. I got email confirmations with all of the new posts, mine included, now they are all gone.

I noticed the post missing too, that must have been the same time FG wouldn't let me upload photos but it would let Ken post photos!

Yea, I had replied to your post of Snap's event at Gardner, that was an awesome time.

Oh well, at least it isn't just me

That was my second Huckfest (I went with to the one the year before in CT). I brought my biggest plane at the time, at 70" 3DHS Slick. I brought my little guy that year, and even got him in a pic with the Extra!

My dad and I joked as he won a prop the year before, and I won a prop cover that year, so we said if we kept going to these, we would eventually have a plane ... lol. Funny, I been flying my 87" extra for a number of years now, but finally just picked up my first 100 cc'er (after swearing, after my first huckfest, that I never would need a plane that big ).

I am mostly a lurker over here on FG, but comment a bit more on RCG. A lot of great times over the years. Watching the rocket launched 3DHS VR-1 and 42" slick laden with fireworks at a OH huckfest! "Borrowing" Sleepy's golf cart at Nall and leaving it on the other side of the 3D pond, toilet papered with a roll of FG stickers.

Definitely good times.

Huckfest in Atlanta was one of the first events I ever attended.
I was still flying park models at the time and knew nothing of FG or giants....

It may have been the first time I saw AJ fly.
It was also the first time I saw a Red Aero pilot, and knew I just had to get a giant with a cool head like that!

I wonder who else was there?

I got back into the hobby around 2008 with an Eagle 63 and a Futaba Attack radio. I soon found out that that stuff still flew but was way outdated. I flew it that season and found out about F/G through a club member the next summer. Bought my first Extra 260 45CC. from a swap meet. Flew it, Crashed it, fixed it, crashed it. Then I saw a Video of Cspaced flying a PAU 50 cc Extra that has just came out and fell in love with it. Made friends with Chris while building the Extra. From him I found out about Joe Nall and met most of the biggest names on F/G. Most of them became my friends. Even Craven.
I'm doing a lot of scale stuff lately so I'm not on here as much as I should be. Still have my Extras and My new Ultimate. Would like to see a bunch of you that I haven't seen for a while.

I'm in on a Reunion.

If that's the case, Jim needs to explain himself. I'm guessing it was him who put this thread on the home page and took a pair of scissors to the posts.

It'd be pretty bad to go back to the old days where you couldn't even mention some people, or like RCU editing out any mention of FG.

Watching what's happened to RCU might be a very good learning experience for this site's owners and mods.....
