Re: BRILLELLI MOTORS

I've got a Brillelli 46 on an Extreme Flight 74 inch Yak... been flying it for about 6 months, probably 50 flights or so.. its NEVER missed a beat! Its not an absolute power monster, but that could very well be my prop... 20x8 Xoar. Some folks are using a lot more prop, but I haven't bothered to experiment yet. Its no where near the power of my DA50, but nowhere near the price either. A great fit for the 74 inch class planes.

Re: BRILLELLI MOTORS

I don't use anything for directing airflow on my yak. I had to cut the bottom of the cowl out for the cylinder head, but the front hole doesn't have any baffling... haven't seen any problems, even in the heat of the summer.

I realize that this is an old thread but by chance would anyone out there have the beam mount for a Brillelli 46 that they are no longer using that they would sell me?

Well believe it or not I may have some mounts. I had a brilleli 46 that was on a couple of different planes and sold it on one of them but these mounts may have been used with it at one time. They are aluminum and the holes are roughly 2.062 center to center. I’d send them to you for $15 PayPal if you think they will work. measure the hole dimensions and let me know what you think.

Todd that is wonderful!! If you think you had your Brillelli mounted to these mounts they should work, right? I will get home tonight and measure my engine and will let you know what I find.
Thank you so very much !! John

Morning Todd.
I measured the mounting bolt spacing with my dial caliper last night and got right at 1 inch and 400 thousandths. I double triple checked it and thats what she measures. What you think?

John,
Ok if those are the dimensions then looks like these may have been used on something else. They may work for you though. You might be able to use one set of holes and then drill a second set, or maybe just drill all four to fit. Let me know what you want to do.
Todd
