Antenna placement near cf wing tube

Hello I have installed one of my antennas on the side of the fuselage at 90 degrees orientation to my wing tube, but near. Does it make a difference in the range? Being to the side it only gets the 1 inch circle of the face of the tube , on the other orientation I have other antenna very far away from the wing tube.
Regards

Take some pics! Biggest thing is not to run your antennas parallel to the carbon fiber.

Lots of time using Futaba in full composit airframes with carbon tubes. Never a problem.
