17th Annual Columbus IMAC Challenge

17th ANNUAL COLUMBUS IMAC CHALLENGE
May 27-28, 2017
Hosted by: Westerville Model Aeronautics Association (www.wmaa-wags.org)

We have a beautiful flying site with 1000ft. x 150 ft. well groomed smooth grass runway with no obstructions. This is a great event for pilots wanting to try IMAC for the first time. Several experienced IMAC competitors will be available to provide training and flying tips for anyone that is interested in learning how to improve their precision aerobatic flying.

Entry Fee: $40 ($10 IMAC member discount* = $30)
* Must show copy of printed IMAC membership card

SCHEDULE
Friday Field open for practice

Saturday
8am Registration Opens
9am Pilots Meeting
9:15am Flying starts 4 rounds of Known sequences (weather permitting)

Sunday
8:45am Pilots Meeting
9am Flying starts 1 round of unknowns, 1 round of knowns, Freestyle

Directions: WMAA Club Field located at the base of Alum Creek Lake Dam. Field is located approximately 15 miles north of downtown Columbus, OH.

Camping at the club field: We have been granted a special exception to allow RVs/coaches/campers to stay at the field only on Friday and Saturday night of the contest. Airplane trailers can be left at the field overnight (at your own risk).

I had to cancel at the last minute! I'm building a house and need to get it started as I'm behind already - contract needs to be signed no later than tomorrow or I have to pay extra for my current rental.

Great day of flying. 8 Known sequences and 1 Unknown sequence completed between 9:00am - 5:30pm. Rain headed this way for Sunday morning. Will post final results soon.

Final Results

Here are the results for the three classes flown at the event as well as information regarding planes, engines, and radios used by each pilot.
Enjoyed hanging out with all of those that attended this weekend. Looking forward to the 18th Annual next year!
