Hey Azhar, Just finished the setup on the new brushless smoke pump and was wondering if I should run an inline check valve before the mufflers? I have had to do this before on cheaper setups. the pump is abpout 6" back from the mufflers. What do ya think? or

vmceachern, I was wondering the same thing. I just installed the pump in my sbach, i should have mine going in the next week or so. you should be able to tell as soon as you start the engine with smoke fuel in.

Having a check valve will not hurt. I am waiting to run my setup to give some real use feedback.

Seems as though it depends on weather the pump can handle the backpressure from the exhaust, from my experience the checks tend to stick when you go out the next weekend after siitting for a few days. I will just experiment and see i guess.
It took all I had not to disassemble the pump to see what kind of tolerances there are. I'm assuming its a geared pump? Which is not really positive displacement. And that is why I ask.

I have been using the wing nuts on my 104 AJS, they work and look great. Over the Winter when I swap out the rudder servo, I will use the new pull-pull items.
