agreed. Allows one to get this plane into the air for alot less cash than the new breed of 60/70cc ships. Dle55's and DA-50's are always available used for very good prices.

We'll have more stories coming out as the show progresses. We're only 7 hours into a 3 day event! I'm shooting video and photos like a mad man, just need to edit it into stories for you.

30% planes have bloated into 70cc monsters over the last few years. It is refreshing that new designs that fly well with a DA50 or DLE55 are being released.

Good to see it is for the DA60 too if desired, as in Denver the extra power and the minimal weight penalty of the 60 would probably do great in this airframe.

It's actually a fair amount closer to accurate than you think..

I'm referring to the aesthetic lines and the placement of the horizontal stabs where the elevator is forward of the rudder.

Other than that, AJ's new bird is a looker! Nice to have something new to consider when purchasing an Aerobat

I think if you saw it in person you would see it is pretty true to the full scale version of the ARS 300. I think some of the angles of the pictures and the change in color scheme may be change were your eyes focus on the plane but overall it does look the part. The only real departure from scale is the wingspan increased slightly and yeah that is to give it the performance AJ is looking for.

While Toledo and the other trade shows used to be the place to debut your new aircraft, these days we have the instant gratification of the Internet so there really isn't many other new products that we didn't already know about and haven't seen pictures of.

Great looking plane!
Did not like the fact they put the elevator servo directly on the body and not inside the Stab..
Its not clean looking and a bit of an hassle when taking it on and off when coming to/from the field.

I wonder why it is that way?

Stab is probably too thin to house the servo.

Plus now it's super easy to install the servos!

That plane was still a prototype, Aj is also testing an airfoil stab that will house the servo. a large priority is to put out planes that fly great. Andrew puts an enormous amount of time into trying all different things to get the planes to build easy and fly great so stay tuned for some slight changes to the ARS.

Andrew and his brother Joe are in the process of building a slightly thicker stab so they can install elevator servos in stab. They said as long as it flies as good or better than it does now they'll go with the thicker version.
