*Dualsky GA6000.8 Outrunner Motor (Giant Scale)*

Saw this motor on another thread and looks to be a great motor at a very good price at $249.99. It is a little lighter than my e-flite Power 360. Looks like a good fit for a 50cc plane running a 24X10 prop on 12S. Dualsky also has a 130A ESC (Opto) that might go along with this motor but I would probably go a little higher. Anyone running this motor that could give some numbers?

This looks optimal for my p47 project for just cruising around with a 24x10 two bladed prop or 22x10 4 bladed prop!!!

Now just to wait for it to come out!!!

I would like the Eflight power 360 but this is $100 cheaper and will have more than enough power for what I need it for!!

So far my impressions are really positive!!!

Smooth power on first tests, nice build quality, and a great set of standoffs and hardware selection!

Hey shorte, I see you put it up for sale already. Do you mind saying why you sold it? Thanks!

I am interested in anyone's experience with this motor, I am currently flying a Top Flight GS P 51 B using a RIMFIRE 50cc brushless motor. I had a RIMFIRE 65cc motor installed turning a Varioprop 4 blade on 12s 2p batteries. I had really great performance with the 65cc motor but a vibration problem forced me to retire the motor when it began to shed magnet pieces. I am looking to replace it and have given the EFLITE Power 360 a look. Any help wood be appreciated.

I just did a full power test on my P47. Crazy good power!

If anyone wants to see a video of the full power test on me you email.

HI,

I am planning to buy the Dualsky GA6000.8 to use it with this plane http://www.fpvmodel.com/new-mugin-pl...lane_g962.html.

Wingspan: 4500mm
Length: 2750mm
Flying Weight: 25kg
Load weight: 8kg

Most of my flights will be in cruise mode. I would like to know what is the efficiency of this motor to know what average duration I will get if I was using a 12S 20,000 Lipo battery.

I know my question is related to the plane itself, but by comparing your experience on your planes with your batteries, I might be able to guess the average duration I will get.

I am on the waiting list for this motor, I guess I'll have it in the shop within a few weeks and on a model in flight, in a month or two.

I am planning on using it on the model in two ways, both using 12s -

1) With a 2 bladed prop at around 4000 watts static, in flight 3000 watts and probably 2500 watts in cruise.
2) With a scale 5 bladed prop at around 6000 watts static (momentarily) and unloading to about 4500 watts in flight and probably 3000 watts for cruise.

The model is a Sebart PC-21XL "scale-ish" F3A speedster. When I get experience with the motor I'll post my impressions here. I hope to have the same positive reviews others have! This motor is to replace my original thoughts of using the Hacker Q-80-8M. I went with the Dualsky primarily because the Hacker was not available. After I decided to use the GA6000.8, the price point surely did not disappoint me either.

I am planning to use a Castle Creations Edge HV160f ESC with the motor. The latest firmware 4.22 apparently runs 28 pole motors well. Is anyone using this combo? I'd love to hear thoughts on the ESC settings.

I'm also looking at this motor and the E-flite 360 for a EF Edge 540 88" it's hard to find good real world information on this engine.

DA6000-8 on Flight Models 93" Extra 330 SC

Using a Falcon carbon 25.5 x 13 prop on the DA and for this plane that's the ticket! Here's a couple of vids:

3Deranged nice flying. What ESC are you running and are any standoffs included with the GA6000.8?

That's my bud Blake Hilson on the sticks. Tested the Dualsky 130HV and CC160HV on the DA6000-8. Both work well and spool up rate is acceptable for 3D flying. Standoffs did come with DA but the SWB standoffs have lots of different sized spacers for better adjustability.
