The standoffs in the photo look longer than stock. If so, that could contribute to airframe vibration.

An overly rich fuel mixture on the low needle will definitely cause some wicked shakes - try leaning it a bit.

Loosen both srews on the hall sensor and move it all the way down.
Guess this will improve your idle.

Cheers

No, I added another brace but it was solid before that.

I checked the timing and I had it set to about 30-35 degrees Before TDC. I changed it to 28 Degrees following this process:

Checked for TDC (this is the lowest black mark on the case)
Put the plug into the boot and marked how far after the sensor the plug fired
Moved that point back 9.78mm (28 degree, the D is 40mm and I used a business card to get the arch right when I marked it. )
This point is the top black mark on the case, the middle one is if the sensor is all the way to the right.

Does this sound right?

Tuned the high and low, new plug, new gas, set the timing to 28degrees btdc. Ran well today, I took a video the link is below.

Glad it improved.

In a related question: does leaning the LSN really make much difference?

My securely mounted DA50 with as balanced a prop as I can make it, also vibrates a lot at idle. I doubt it's an ignition issue as it recently was serviced by DA.

Thoughts?

I've never seen any 2 stroke engine regardless of what it is mounted in that doesn't idle smoother when properly leaned to proper tune. Depending on a number of factors, some engines will idle smoother than others.

A well adjusted carb will cause an engine to run smoother, but from what I have found is you have to really be off by quite a bit to make an engine run really rough. Like to the point where I certainly wouldnt fly it rough.

But I will say, I just got my first DA engine and seem to have the opposite situation as you. A brand new DA50 and I just maidened the plane last weekend. I dont want to start a whole debate here, but I noticed right off the bat as soon as it fired up it was substantially smoother than my DLE 55RA. They both have balanced Falcon carbon props and balanced spinners. I never thought that the DLE really shook much, until I ran the DA. I sure do hope the DA gets stronger though, the DLE has noticeably more power.

Flew the plane agian today, needed a half a screw driver in on the low but other than that it ran fine and no major vibration.
