DA-120 Carb Arm Flip

I have been wondering if there was a way to flip the arm on a DA-120 and I mentioned it to Coltan Clark of DA and he told me he had just done one recently and told me how. I thought I'd share it for those who might have wondered also, it sure makes throttle linkage better in some circumstances. Items needed are 2- 4/40 bolts and nylon locknuts and a tapered spacer from Dubro ball links.

Yeah, flipping it makes a seriously hinky angle into a pretty decent one. Especially if your throttle servo is up in the motor box.. Done that several times...

I am machining a arm that fits like the stock arm but can be connected either way. Basically duplicating extending the other end for connections. That way there is virtually no way of the arm moving unless the bolts fall out.

The way the above is done is to use the cone from a dubro ball link to fill the hole in the walbro throttle arm. Then just use a few longer bolts with lock nuts to fasten. My concern is that if the nuts loosen a little the arm can shift. Just my concern since nuts seem to always loosen on my airplanes, they rarely fall out but do loosen.

Did you ever machine a reverse DA120 throttle arm? Want to sell one?

Does anyone make throttle arms like these in G10 or similar? I bought one several years ago from Taildragger RC, but they're gone now Setting up a new DLE65, and it has the wonky Walbro arm with one big hole on one side, small on the other, with a bend in the middle. I see a few different arms DA sells, but not sure which one, if any, would work...

It should be the same one. Double check with Tim, but my guess it will fit both
