Carb issue
Ok HELP HELP... I’m about to toss the stupid thing . Brand new DLE 61 won’t start have fuel so I thought and good spark. Here’s what I’ve found tell me if I’m wrong but I think it’s a bad carb. When o put a fuel line on to the nipple of the carb no fuel is getting threw or if it does it’s not much. My question is this should I be able to blow threw the fuel line while hooked to carb and air go threw ??? Cause it’s not. Also I had the fuel tank hooked up to car and blew threw the vent tube and it only pressured up the tank. I have tried moving the linkage open and close while blowing

Have you checked the metering needle? Maybe the spring was not set (jammed) correctly at the factory and its not letting fuel into the carb?
Can you check the pop off pressure? Have you had the carb apart yet? Check the needle valve Check the screen filter Pull both needle adjustment screws and flip the prop a few times and see if your getting fuel and re install. Check fuel flow from gas tank. Check fuel tank vent. |

I have had the needle stick in the seat after setting a while before. I just pull the diaphragms off and put some fuel in there to get things wet. After that, no more issues.

Try loosening the big screw on the carb cover plate so the cover is loose. Then blow air through the vent line of tank to push fuel up in the carb. The carb is air lock you need to give that air some place to go when fuel is replacing it.

I tried that by loosening the big screw a tad bit and when I did that I could blow threw the line. Just really odd for this being a new motor....

I usually start with
1 1/4 to 1/1/2 Low 1 1/2 High And then whens it warmed up, start my tuning with the engine running. |

What you want to see when you blow through the vent line is fuel coming out from under that loose cover plate. That way the carb is primed and will draw fuel. Some new carbs need to be wet. |
