There are so many variables with this that its difficult to answer
What power used
How heavy the glider
what scale
what span
piloting skills of both glider and tug pilot
desired climb rate

We tow our 6.4m span ASH 31 scale composite glider with the 55c powered T-110 with ease. I am sure that I could tow the same glider with our Electric or even the 30cc gas set up also?

Regards Ali

Ali,

You answered my question...I was wondering if it could tow the ASH31.

One more question...do you know the distance between the firewall and the spinner back plate?

I was thinking about a twin. What is the width of the cowl 2" off the firewall?

I'd imagine Hangar 1/4 scale floats will work... same as for the cubs.

Good float options are lacking these days for sure. I just purchased a couple float kits from Seaplane Supply. If we can get a measurement from the rudder hinge point to prop we can multiply that by 0.75 to get the length of floats we need.
(prop-rudder hinge)0.75= Float Length

http://www.seaplanesupply.com/deep_v.html
I'm guessing 46" floats would work?
The Timmy110 is 68" long (spinner incl??)

HH 1/5 scale floats are 42"
HH 1/4 scale floats are 47.6" (discontinued)
84" TBM floats are about 44"

Just some food for thought if someone would like to build a foam core set of floats.

Anyone know if a saito fg-61ts would be an ok candidate for this plane, or too heavy?
