thank you so much man! I thought it'd be an easy paint job compared to others I have done boy, was I mistaken. Can't wait to fly it! I'll post performance if it'd warm up and be a half way decent day to maiden.

has anyone flown the 40" edge or extra? everyone's saying good things about the yak, but if the edge or extra flies as well, i'd rather get one of those to have something different. i've had several jukas and love them, but it's time for something else. i flew a friend's 40", 9mm yak today and it's the BEST foamie i've ever flown!

The Dynamo motors and ESC's are good power setups for the money. Very smooth and produce lots of power.

Yup, every Dynamo I have used has performed flawless, and has GREAT power for the models

Just wondering if the Dynamo motors and ESC's were a viable option as they cost a lot less than most other major brands (AXI, Scorpion, Hacker, E-Flite, etc). From what you guys are saying, it sounds like the quality and performance is good.

I've been having a blast with my 40" Yak-55 lately and thought I'd post a few pics. The scheme is done with simple rattle cans and sharpies.
Although the Juka will wad up a little faster, the Yak flies 3D better and is more true. The precision qualities of the plane are what really set it apart though. The Extra 300 flies IMAC just a tad better, but this thing tracks beautifully and snaps are just awesome. The roll rate is fast and crisp. Every maneuver is stable and the control authority is excellent in all attitudes and air speeds.

Looks great Daniel, what gear are you running??

I'm running the recommended Dynamo power system from DW with a 3s, 1,300mah, 25C pack. HXT-900 servos all around. It flies great with that setup other than the fact that there's a little blow back with the HXTs on the ailerons.
