Way overdue but I have begun glassing the wing today. I hope to be done glassing everything by the end of the week... if time permits.

Slowly but surely... had to do some sanding on the edges to fix some of the glassing but it looks good so far. Measuring tonight and will probably glass the other side tomorrow.

And more updates... the wing is finally completely glassed. Now I will glass the body.

Progress is very slow when you have two young kids in the house + other chores. My target is to have this finished by November.

Looking good- can't wait to see it finished. Lots of work vs. iron on covering but it will look great and stay nice.

Moved on to the fuse now...

One side is glassed, the second one will be done tonight. A big suggestion though, I started using a brush for the body instead of just pouring the resin and scraping it off. Using the brush made my life SO MUCH EASIER. You still need to scrape the epoxy off with a card BUT the brush helps you set the fiber down properly and also not waste resin.

Have you guys used micro-balloons ever? It is pretty light and would fill in the weave.

I am sanding the body before I put the stabilizer in. so far sanding has sucked a bit more than glassing lol. only things left to glass are the control surfaces though

hopefully still on track for a November maiden.Name: uploadfromtaptalk1409606882690.jpg
