Can the rubber on the wheel be replaced?

I know here in Vegas the runways eat away the actual wheel rubber very quickly.

I have another brand of tail wheel here and I am none too impressed. Its sloppy out of the bag. Tail wheel is one of those things that I have seen a lot of people screwing around with a lot of crap products and I want something that will just work. This looks pretty well thought out.

What does the 35% option weight? My application needs to be light in the tail and the one I have is like 2.4oz.

The urethane tire is molded onto the aluminum hub making it irreplaceable. However, it's a Shore 85 hardness urethane which is much harder than any of the tail wheel tires, or main wheel tires for that matter, currently on the market. There is a price for this, which is loss of shock absorption and contact patch adhesion, but I don't think these are big issues for a tail wheel tire.

Its a skateboard wheel.

I was expecting some very serious "sticker shock" when I started reading this thread because that is one nice a$$ tailwheel !

Zoomer, and Gang as promised, Vern is a very reasonable Gentleman. No "Surprises", from his comapny ..Straight up; replacement Wheels are available if you really chew one up though, as a mater of fact, all parts are available for replacements if needed. This baby is built so well though, i seriously doubt any failures... too robust in the needed areas for that.

Looks nice. Now, in keeping with an aerospace engineering approach to weight, knock those corners off! It's CNC machined so driving the cutter around a radius ain't "no big thang" vs. driving it around a right angle. Skip the steel washers and use aluminum or nylon. Lose the standard SHCS for the pivot and use a button head as the wheel itself has. Heck, go whole-hog and use aluminum fasteners while you're at it. Ain't this stuff fun?

Ain't trying to be nit-picky, just trying to point out a few areas to further elevate this above the rest of the meager tail wheel offerings on the market- and it's damn-sure above 99% of the stuff on the market right now.

i will be ordering one for my new 27% cap as soon as Vern answers my email cant wait to get my hands on this thing. i bet once i get one here more people in my club will be ording one too.
