50cc Stinger

Here's my IMAC ride for this year (2009). Well at least for a little while. Once I get out of basic I'll be getting a PAU Pitts to put the gear from the Stinger in. Right now the Stinger is at 19lbs, which is kinda hefty, but should do ok in basic. Besides, it will just handle wind a little better. I've been having problems setting it up as this is my first gas plane. I've had glow and electric before, but none this big.
Mike

Not sure what a 50cc Stinger is and I've had three flying and a kit in the box. At 19lbs. I'm thinking it is the 84 inch ?

Personally had one weigh 23 lbs. Coveright is heavy stuff and the stock G-62 with Mac's tuned pipe topped it off.

Well that makes me feel better. My CRRC might have it a little underpowered though. We'll see soon though. But I figure once I get basic down, and get a light airframe the CRRC should do just fine.

I don't think they are out of business, I just thought they stopped producking the Stinger. Either way I got my Airframe used.

Lanier (along with Goldberg) joined the Great Planes "Family" of companies last year. They immediately started to burn off the inventory and now have discontinued most all of the products as soon as the inventory was gone. Another sad day in modeling.
