Throttle Servo Mounting

I’m building a Extreme Flight 85” Edge 540
Installed a D.A. 50 and was wondering if anyone had pics on how they fabricated a mount . I’m also running a pipe and canister if that makes any difference. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated..

Regards

Mike

Normally with a 30-50cc you will run it in side the motor box,

Here is how i Did my 73 inch edge 540, Servo in the motor box and nyrod with ball links, Works great, You can naturally have the servos closer to the fuel tank area if need be or where ever works.

This is the stock supplied ply servo mount by Pilot Rc.

I should add if having a longer distance you need to use the outer sleeve of the Nyrod kit to keep the link a bit more rigid.

I used the Sullivan Golden rod kit. Its yellow inner and Blue outer, These can be glued as one for a medium length run or used as the designed push rod for longer runs, So have the Blue glued to the model and the yellow runs in it, if that makes sense

This system lower vibration/Harmonic transmission to the servo and the servo will thank you for it.

There is a thread on RCGroups specifically for that airplane, and supported by EF. You should not have to fabricate anything other than perhaps assembling the supplied servo mount. Also having built a number of EF planes I can attest that the supplied throttle hardware is fine and the typical servo location is under the motor box.

I did mount on bottom of motor box. Issue was I'm running a pipe and canned exhaust. I was concerned about heat. Going to insulate around servo. Thanks for all the input. I'm going to look into RC Groups in that forum. Thanks for heads up!
