Stein Skybolt fun and......

A few years ago a buddy of mine and I did a lot of flying in the Skybolt he and his family built. This is one of the few times I took a video camera with me. A couple of interesting things about that flight is that you can see just a few of the volcano's in the area, the first one I focus on is mt. Saint Helena, second is Mt. Hood, and the closest is Mt. Rainier. Another interesting thing in this flight, near the end we did a spin and then a stall turn, after the stall turn the engine cut out and started back up on the down line but with carb ice..... There is only one way back into their airstrip. This was my first real experience with carb ice..
Skybolt flight and carb ice (10 min 54 sec)
