Update time. I have covered the fuse and rudder and I'm ready to cover the stabs and wings.

Sorry for not posting the pictures as I cover. I wasn't sure if I could pull off the scheme and colors and thought I might end up re-covering with a simple color scheme. I think its going to work out so I will show my progress.

I have a 3 axis CNC router and I thought it would be neat to use the CNC to draw the shapes for the scheme. I tool a sharpie and put it in the collet and drew on the back side of the Monokote. Next I cut the Monokote on a glass by using Windex to hold it flat to the glass.

Jerry, what are the 2 sets of 3 holes at the rear side of the fuse for? Mounting the stab? Would be great to see some more details of the build; e.g., pics of how stabs mount, how wings are fastened, cowl, etc.

Thanks,
Pete

You don't miss much do you Pete?

Those are socket cap srews but will get changed out for flathead paited to match the fuse bolts.
They hold the 1/4 turn Camlocs in place. I also put camlocs on the hatch just in case someone wants to race on how quick we can get out planes out of the trailer and in the air.

I'll take more pictures of the cowl mounts, wings and such.

Here are a couple of pictures os the camlocks; the on is mounted into the stab.

Here is a close up of the hole. You got me too.. You see the hole on the left was slotted, Yep, just like finding wall studs.

That's the best complement yet. Primo is a master at covering. His planes always look sharp.

I was looking into blades that will work. I think a normal 45 degree blade that is used in a vinyl cutter may do the trick.
