paying it forward

Some and most rc flyers on FG are just awesome. An example, after I posted a want ad for wings/parts for my Pilot 30% Edge 540, a fellow flyer robertlaine came forward and offered me his parts with little or no damage for shipping costs only. Not only did he and his wife spend their time getting to UPS to get estimates, they boxed up and sent me. This is a very generous of both of them!!
Being he is from Georgia, I would guess this could called "southern hospitality". Thank you both.

Yup southern hospitality. It's good to see some people still care to help others out sometimes.

I ran across an almost brand new FMA Cell Pro 10s charger for sale and asked the seller if he could hold it until I got the money as I'm trying to get back into the hobby after selling everything I had because my first child came along. He told me not to worry about it he would send it to me as a gift. All he asked me to do was to help someone else out when they needed it. This is just an awesome hobby with awesome people to work with.

I passed my Kobra to a friend that had just lost his high wing trainer last week. Needless to say, sometimes items passed don't necessary stay around long.

Great story Bob. This hobby really is amazing. I just sold a guy my used Blade 450X. I realized I had extra parts including a new canopy that I didn't list. I just tossed them in the box and shipped. I've been gifted so very much in this hobby. I try to pay it forward when I can. Thanks for sharing.

Props to Jersey Modeler.

I recently returned to the hobby after a 4.5 year hiatus. My Jersey fuel can was wrecked. The fittings were missing. I emailed Dean and asked if I could buy fittings for my old can. Dean informed me that the fittings would leak with my old can (I sent pics). Dean advised me to buy a new can. However, I was hesitant because I already had a small gas can and pump, and didn't want to buy what I already had. Dean said "I'd really like for you to have a new can" and then offered to sell me one, and pay what I could afford. In the end, I got a two gallon can at an Amazing price and free shipping! I was honest and genuine with Dean, and he with me. His reputation is well earned. A very nice welcome back to the hobby from Jersey Modeler.
