Where are you buying your servos at?

Hi, I am in the market for some decent mg servos, maybe (?) some of the new Hitec 945 digital type for a 50cc warbird, or if you could recommend a good brand other than Hitec. Something in the 80 to 100 oz torque range . Can you point me in a right direction where to purchase some at a good price please?
Thanks!!

I have used JR and Savox and had nothing but success. With them. Savox is pretty affordable and a great servo. I am trying some promodler servos right now and at least setup wise, they are as great as my JR servos. We will see once it's in the air but following the Promodler thread for a few years now, they don't have much or any negativity.

I have a number of the Hitec D series 625 and 645 servos and love them. Excellent sport / warbird servos. Far better performance than the similar cost analog 625 / 645 servos and much better than the 56xx series. I usually buy from Servo City during their sales but Tower Hobbies has very good pricing using a coupon. Servo City has deep discounts during their sales and sales come around several times a year. Get on their notification list. Only bad thing is they sell out of stock quickly during their sales so act quickly when a sale comes around.

I also have many Savox high end servos that serve me well but I don't care for the lower cost offerings as performance is lacking compared to the Hitec D series.

Pro Modeler servos have certainly gained a strong following in the last couple of years. Many compliments and few complaints. Their mid priced 3 pole motor offerings are reasonably priced and should do an excellent job in sport planes and warbirds. I haven't tried these yet but probably will one day soon.

Best to not overlook Bluebird brand from Thunderbolt RC in Canada.

Since you asked where and not what...

Outside of Promodeler, whom I'm just trying out as well, I find Chief Aircraft to be a good reliable source for all the brands mentioned here. (Savox and Hitec being great choices as well.)

They generally run 10% sales every once in a while, which can be significant when buying a full set of giant scale servos! (Plus, they show up at Joe Nall, and you can buy directly at the show.)

what he said ^^, plus a few others, among them Chief Aircraft, and my LHS. I may pay a premium compared to ebay but I think it's important to support brick and mortar retailers.

It's a no brainier.....Promodeler.
I have no affiliation but they are the best quality and reliability. Prices are also competitive. Made in the US to mil spec. John the owner is a frequent contributor on RC Scalebuilder. He's an RC enthusiast so he knows what is needed.

Never knew these servos existed...wow they look like a good alternative to the Hitec 645/D645 servos I have been buying for years. Very nice range of torque choices. Glad I found and read this thread. Thanks to the OP and thanks to the guys with Promodeler servo experiences!
